Recording Engineering

Beginner

If you have always had the interest in recording or are thinking of pursuing a career this two week course will present an introduction to studio engineering for hands-on career exploration.

June 12th-15th & June 19th-21st

Session 2
July 17th-20th & July 24th-27th
5:30-9:30 pm

Intermediate

If you already have a basic understanding of the essential concepts and vocabulary related to studio engineering this two week intermediate course is an opportunity to expand upon your skills and knowledge. Participants will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the various types of recording software, mixing techniques, and editing practices.

Advanced

If you already have an understanding of the essential concepts and vocabulary related to studio engineering this one week advanced course is an opportunity to develop further skills and knowledge as it relates to the field. Participants will dive further into the computer software used in the studio and develop a deeper knowledge of post-recording effects.

Develop the basic knowledge needed to work at a live concert venue and gain hands on experience by working a show at THE GARAGE!

Tour Booking & Management

Learn how to utilize three proven methods of networking, contacting and closing booking dates for a tour for a band, solo artist and everything in between!  Attendees will have the opportunity to network during this session with the guidance of some specific exercises created to help not just break the ice, but make real opportunities happen in the touring world.

Concert Photography

Learn what it takes to be a concert photographer in a four class series with acclaimed photographer Darin Kamnetz! Shoot four concerts with him at THE GARAGE in four weeks, while getting feedback on your photos.
